Bishop Jean Dedieu Munyambabazi is a passionate leader and servant of God with over 25 years of experience in ministry, dedicated to spreading the Gospel and empowering communities. He currently serves as the Overseer of United Awakening Baptist Church, a dynamic organization headquartered in North Carolina, USA, with over 20 branches across the United States and Africa.
Bishop Munyambabazi’s leadership journey began in his native Uganda, where he spent 15 years leading choirs and youth groups in the Baptist Church, mentoring and nurturing the next generation of leaders in faith. His devotion to God and his people was further demonstrated through his impactful role as a community leader in the Kyangwali Refugee Settlement. For 10 years, he served as a guiding light to countless refugees, offering support, guidance, and a sense of hope in a time of uncertainty.
